With pure grit, determination, and resourcefulness, we managed to hold together a  broken system for decades. We overcame staffing shortages, supply shortages, hospital closures, and then a global pandemic - and we still showed up to take care of our patients.

And now we're exhausted. Many of us are burned out to the point of no return. Our colleagues have already left and we're ready to do the same.

 

If our healthcare system is going to survive, we can no longer rely on the grit, determination, and sacrifice of nurses. We must create better methods of healthcare delivery.

We must take our frustration and turn it into INNOVATION! What useful, meaningful tools will we build together? We can figure it out. We always have.
